Venison, Porter & Chestnut Pie

Locally sourced venison slowly braised in local brew Eden Brewery porter with Puddledub smoked dry cured bacon, chestnuts and mushrooms. The braising stock is used to make a full flavoured sauce for the pie with a dollop of home-made redcurrant jelly to add a touch of sweetness and is then topped with a biscuit like pastry to add that crispness to each mouthful. Pure luxury.
